Frequently Asked Questions
What is therapy?
Therapy is a space where you meet with a trained mental health professional to explore emotional challenges, blockages, or conditions that impact your relationships, work, or academic life. It’s a non-judgmental space to put the things on your mind into words, and then take a look at them together with someone who has training and experience to help make sense of your feelings and experiences. It’s an opportunity to address things that come up in your day-to-day, as well as life transitions, such as graduating, contemplating pregnancy, becoming a caregiver, breakups, moving, and more.
What does a session look like?
We will meet virtually, in a telehealth session, for 50 minutes. We will establish goals for therapy and meet weekly or bi-weekly to explore and address what brought you to therapy. Therapy can include verbally processing, journaling, moving your body, and other mindfulness activities. We practice in a holistic way. We can practice the adaptive tools you already have to cope, and also introduce some new tools.
What is the cost per session?
I am currently accepting private pay clients, with sessions costing $175 per session.
I accept payments by cash, check, credit card, Venmo, Paypal, Zelle, or money order.
I work with a limited number of clients through a virtual therapy platform, Rula, where I accept most forms of insurance. I do not have any slots available on Rula right now.
